Taryn & Nick met in 2005 in New York City. Taryn was introduced to Nick to help with fundraising for his organization. As soon as they met, Nick asked Taryn out on a date. They dated for 8 months before eventually parting ways.
The two remained friends over the next decade, only seeing each other a handful of times; that is until November 25, 2017, when Nick asked Taryn to go to a basketball game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. In that moment, Taryn thought to herself: “this guy is everything I have been looking for and more!”
After that basketball game, Nick asked Taryn if she would like to date again over dinner. Of course she said yes! That was the beginning of Taryn & Nick’s Il Mercato New Orleans Wedding.
Taryn is from New Orleans and Nick is from Washington, D.C. This couple is quirky and goofy, yet romantic and intimate, so they wanted some photos showcasing each mood.
The couple chose to do a first look at Il Mercato that turned out lovely.
Amanda Price was the planner for Taryn & Nick’s Il Mercato New Orleans Wedding. The gorgeous design was done by Sapphire Events and the decor was by Firefly Ambiance
All of the gorgeous florals were done by Herbivore Floral Designs.
The ceremony and reception were a great hit. At the reception, guests danced the night away to live music by Az Izz Band.
The bride and groom cut their cake from Pure Cake Nola, then exited in a joyous second line that was quintessentially New Orleans. There is nothing better!
