Checkout the highlights from Anna & Kenny’s wedding!
We made a trip out to South Carolina to photograph this beautiful couple on their special day! Traveling is something we love to do and being able to incorporate work and travel is a true blessing. That being said, thank you Anna & Kenny for this opportunity. Coming from New Orleans where winter is in the morning and summer in the afternoon. It was nice to adventure out to this beautiful state of South Carolina.
We could not have asked for a better turn out, the weather, the décor, and all vendors made this day a unique experience. The ceremony was held at the Columbia Museum of Art, and this was a great choice to create a beautiful wedding. Having a total new location to photograph is always great, because it allows us to just let our creative juices flow and have fun in a new space. Thanks to our great team and Anna & Kenny for being so much fun, we captured amazing photos and amazing moments. There were endless options on where to pose them, the art, furniture and lighting made this place so special. The architecture of the Columbia Museum of Art is so unique and made taking photos effortless.
The hotel that they got ready in, Hotel Trundle, was so quaint and elegant that it made for amazing portraits before the ceremony.
“How the two met”
Anna & Kenny met at an engagement celebration years ago in New Orleans, and in full circle now celebrated their wedding here! Kenny was visiting the city for one of his best friend’s bachelor party. Anna was here teaching 2nd grade and living in the city. The weekend came around and one of Annas friends asked her if she would want to meet up with him and a group of his friends who were visiting. Her friend was mutual friends with Kenny, Anna ended up going out that night. Anna & Kenny met for the first time at Pat O’Brien’s and then the rest is history. The two stayed in touch when Kenny went back to South Carolina. They would continue to meet half-way in Alabama and Atlanta. Eventually, Anna moved to Columbia, SC in 2015 and four and a half years later, the two decided to put a ring on it!
The wedding ceremony and reception is one to remember as well. Sarah Shell with Fern Studio brought the place to life with her beautifully detailed floral work.
The catering company Southern Way Catering made some tasty dishes. Jessica Rourke Weddings did a great job pulling all the design elements from this wedding together and making it a night that Anna & Kenny, and their guests, will never forget.
As well, you can see that Steel Toe Stiletto brought the noise and the people to the dance floor. The band even gave Anna & Kenny their star moment with a crowd surf!
