Danielle & Matt Marche French Quarter Wedding Photography

Danielle and Matt are what you may call a “perfect match”. The couple “matched” on the popular dating app, Bumble while Danielle was living in New York City. A southern girl with family roots in New Orleans, Danielle was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She met Matt, who was living in Boston at the time, on the app while he was in the city for work.

Danielle was going to a Ray Lamontagne concert in Boston that evening with a girlfriend when Matt asked what she was up to. They met up that night, and the rest is history!

Danielle and Matt are a mix of quirky and romantic. They wanted to cherish the day and pay plenty of mind to the sacredness of the ceremony, while also making sure that their guests had a great time. Girls in Black Event Planning was the fabulous wedding planner who helped to make Danielle & Matt Marche French Quarter Wedding Photography a hit!

We began our day at the Windsor Court where Danielle and her bridesmaids were getting ready. We were able to capture some sweet moments between Danielle and Matt’s daughter. Danielle gifted each of her bridesmaids gifts from Tiffany & Co. before they got a special first look at Danielle in her gown from Eve of Milady.

Danielle and her bridesmaids’ hair and makeup was done by Melissa Vaccaro.

Meanwhile, our associate photographer was at Matt’s Airbnb where Matt and his groomsmen were waiting. Matt was expecting Danielle to do a first look for him, but little did he know, he would turn around to one of his groomsmen in a wedding dress. It was a funny and light-hearted moment that gave a great insight into what the rest of the night would look like with this fun couple!

The ceremony took place at St. Louis’s Cathedral in the French Quarter, so we were able to capture some stunning photos of the groups beforehand in the quintessential New Orleans area.

All of the lovely florals were done by Something Borrowed Blooms.

There was so much love and happiness in the church that evening. You could really tell how much Danielle and Matt cherish one another, and it was sweet to see how much all of their friends, family, and guests enjoyed seeing their matrimony.

Upon exiting the church, the bride, groom, and wedding guests were led by Kinfolk Brass Band in a joyous second line

It was time to let loose and have some fun at the reception, which took place at Marche. The venue also catered the reception for the newly-wed couple and all of their guests.

There were so many fun moments at the reception. Danielle and Matt made a grand entrance for their first dance to “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne, of course. Matt then did a sweet duet with his daughter to the song “What Does the Fox Say”. Everyone danced the night away to live music from Nola Dukes Band.

The cute couple cut into their cake which was from Bittersweet Confections. Later, they made a festive exit with plenty of confetti, and a dress change for Danielle.

After the reception, the party moved to Frenchman Street. The couple was transported on a pedicab and enjoyed even more fun with their guests at the bars on Frenchman.

We had such a fun time at Danielle & Matt Marche French Quarter Wedding Photography, and we know that they will remember this night for years to come in their marriage!
