Irene & Andy’s Race & Religious New Orleans Wedding Photography

This day started off full of joy and emotion, both nerves and happiness. Which is to be expected on one’s special day, but we were welcomed with open arms by Irene & Andy’s beautiful family and friends. Irene’s mother is the sweetest, cutest, most gentle human being, and I am honored to have been part of this day (her mother is in the pink dress). The couple is just the sweetest and so much fun to work with! Race and Religious has limitless options for creating some breathe-taking portraits of Irene & Andy, and their bridal party. Even taking the detail shots had perfect backdrops. We took advantage of the entire venue and made magic.

The first look photos of Irene and her father are beautiful and very touching. We took Irene & Andy’s first look photos in bridge walkway between two of the buildings, and these turned out amazing as well (see below). Irene’s dress is from Grace Loves Grace, and Andy’s tux from Indochino.

The venue was beautifully decorated by Firefly with Irene’s mother’s floral work, but brought to fruition by Fat Cat’s stunning floral skills. Irene’s mother is actually a florist and put together a lot of the pieces beforehand at Fat Cat’s studio. Irene handmade the hanging white rope backdrop for the ceremony. Everything was so detailed, and everyone worked together so well to bring it all to life. This would not have been possible without the hardworking planner/designer Becky Lampp herself, from Spanish Oak Events.

The delicious sweets you see in the photos are from Bittersweet, who we highly recommend. The company makes amazing dishes that almost look too good to eat, and the team over there is on point. The catering was provided by Catering D’Orleans.

After the ceremony everyone was escorted around Uptown New Orleans by none other than the Kinfolk Brass Band. Arriving back to the venue, the Nola Dukes Band kicked it off with astounding live music. Everyone ate the delicious food, danced the night away, and then ended with a BIG SPLASH into the pool (must see below).
