Lucas proposed to his girlfriend, Jen, in the most “New Orleans” location: Jackson Square. We loved planning and photographing this Jackson Square Surprise Engagement for this adorable couple!
Lucas took Jen to Jackson Square one fall afternoon, and we were there to capture the whole thing. Jen had no idea that she was getting proposed to. Her reaction was priceless!
After the proposal, we wanted to make sure that they had a special moment together. We put together a little setup on the lawn in front of St. Louis Cathedral. All of the fresh rose petals were provided by Fat Cat Flowers. They were able to enjoy the moment, and truly soak up the experience together without any cameras (although we were able to capture a few).
After they were finished relishing in the Jackson Square Surprise Engagement, we took some beautiful photos of them.
The golden hour lighting was absolutely perfect, and there were no people in Jackson Square at the time–a rare occurrence, but we were able to pull some strings. This combo made for some incredible photos of the couple!
After taking some photos in this “quintessential New Orleans” spot, we walked around The French Quarter snapping even more photos for the couple’s memories.
